Bursted Manor provides a large number of facilities for our riders and horses.
For Riders
Hacking
We have access to acres of beautiful forestry, bridleways and stewardship fields. Every effort is made to match rider and horse together. Group hacks are graded so that riders of similar ability ride together. New riders with little experience may be asked to ride on a one to one with the escort to assess their ability before joining a group hack. For riders who enjoy going at their own pace, private hacks can be arranged. Hacks are one and two hours in duration. More more information, please see our Hacking page.
Trekking
Trekking is riding for a longer period of time at a slower pace meandering through the countryside stopping for refreshment at a pub or shop if you wish. Ideal preparation for a trekking holiday or just to wind down and relax. More more information, please see our Trekking page
All weather indoor school
20 x 40m floodlit indoor arena with a rubber surface offers a suitable environment for horse and rider training. Cool in hot weather and protected from wind and rain in inclement weather, the horses are able to perform when outside ground is either too hard or wet and therefore riding can continue all year round. Lighting provides after dark riding.
Outdoor Arena/School
20 x 60m outdoor arena with rubber surface offers a larger space for horse/rider training and a more natural environment with lovely views across Pett Bottom valley.
Viewing Gallery / Class Room
Enclosed and heated spectators gallery and classroom offers spectators the ability to view rider/horse training from a comfortable situation with a view of the whole arena via a full width toughened glass window. The classroom area provides teaching facilities for Pony Club/students and is available for hire for clinics, lectures, parties etc.

Whats the difference?
