Lesson bookings are taken either directly at reception or by telephone and will be written down for your ease if required.

Staff will select the most suitable mount for the rider’s age, experience and ability.

Please note that half the lesson price is charged if you do not provide a minimum of 24 hrs notice of cancellation. No credit will be given if cancelled after this time.

On your first lesson our trainers will take time to discuss your previous experience and your requirements, whether riding for pleasure or whether training towards competitions.

As a new rider it is often advisable to start with as many private lessons as you can in your first few months of learning to ride. You will probably find that a half hour lesson will be quite long enough until your muscles develop. Being able to concentrate intensively on the early essentials like position and balance, on a one-to-one basis, will certainly pay off later.

After a while, your instructor may suggest a group lesson. These can be a lot of fun as you get to know other regular clients at the school.

During the group lesson you will have other riders to consider. You also learn by watching your fellow riders and that will help you to get things right and from their mistakes. However it should be noted that individual time spent with each person by the instructor is obviously much less than with a private lesson

Please note that no lessons or hacks are available on Mondays and Fridays as these are rest days for the horses.
